REGISTER AS A USER

Go to the upper right corner of any page and hit the "register" line, which will take you to the "Rules, Policies, and Disclaimer" page; go to the bottom of the page and hit "agree".

You are now on the "Bulletin Board Registration" page; all the lines with "*" must be completed.  Hit "Submit".

That's all there is to registering.  While you are on this page, look at the "UBB Code" (it's in blue on the signature line).  These simple codes can make a real difference in the appearance of an ad.  If your ready to register, just hit

POSTING AN AD

To post an ad; go to the category you want the ad to appear in and hit the "New Topic" botton in the upper left corner.  You want to use your "User Name" and "Password" so that you can go back and make changes to the ad.  Again the "UBB Code" will make a real difference in the appearance of your ad.

Edit and Delete AD

To edit or delete an ad , click on the edit button in the lower right corner of your ad.  If the ad has not been relied to you can edit and delete the ad.  If someone has relied to your ad, you can only edit it; you will need to notify the Moderator, in the lower left corner to delete the ad.

PUT A PICTURE IN YOUR AD

To post pictures in your ad you will need a space on the net to place your pictures first.  Contact your internet provider and find out what the address (URL) of your space.  Hint: will look like "members.sockets.net/~"your name" or "your name"@tripod.com - with sockets or tripod being the internet provider name.

You will need a file transfer protocol (FTP) program to load the pictures off your computer to your space on the net.  There are lots of free programs out on the web.  Hint: just search on "FTP".  The following FTP is just one of many good ones we have found: "http://www.tripod.lycos.com/build/cuteftp.

To add the picture to your ad, just encase the URL of the picture as shown in the following example: [img]http://www.members.sockets.net/~yourname/tline.gif[/img]

In the example above, the UBB Code automatically makes the graphic visible in your ad message.  Note: the "http://" part of the URL is REQUIRED for the [img] code.

Include URL to which the ads should link, if any, and an alternate text description.

Banner ad rate: $20.00 / month.

Please adhere to the following Banner guidelines when preparing your banner ad:

Banner size: 470 pixels maximum width, 90 pixels maximum height

File size: 12K maximum (4-8K recommended)

File types: .gif, .gif89 (animated .gif files), .jpg

Include URL to which the banners should link and an alternate text description.
